ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ 2020ರ ಮಾನವ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶ 129 ರಿಂದ 130ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ. ಮಾನವ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕದ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಅಂಕ ೧. ದೇಶ 0.645 ಅಂಕ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. 2019ರಲ್ಲಿ 0.647 ಅಂಕ ಪಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ದೇಶ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ದೇಶಗಳ ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. 2018ರಲ್ಲಿ 0.431 ಅಂಕ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ವಿಶ್ವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮಾನವ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ (ಯುಎನ್‌ಡಿಪಿ) ವರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇದೆ.
