The Union cabinet on Thursday revised ethanol procurement prices for state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs), including Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, and Bharat Petroleum Corpn. Ltd. The cabinet increased the price of ethanol from sugar from Rs.59.48 per litre to Rs. 62.25 per litre. It also increased the price of ethanol from molasses by Rs.1.94 and Rs.3.34 per litre, to Rs.45.69 and Rs.57.6l per litre, respectively.
